Got this in Audible Plus

Loved the setting of the early days of COVID in Australia, first lock towns etc, especially knowing the areas that the book was set.

Really enjoyed the narration, drew me right into the story.

But ugh, Morgan, Morgan, Morgan, will you ever learn

Great story, and for the most part the narration is great.

But, as an Aussie, that Australian accent at the beginning was *cringe*, lucky it was not a big part of the story

My first audible by this author, and what a plot twist!

Samuel's parents are both pretty despicable human beings, but when we get to about 75% things take a turn, a major plot twist that turns everything you thought you knew on its head (thought I felt that the COVID setting wasn't really needed)

New narrators for me who brought the story to life.

I liked the story.

I liked a different perspective on Lydia.

I liked the performance

BUT

This was one of those over-produced audios, where we have music and chatter in the back ground, between chapters eyc.

I can handle the snoring, burping and farting, but what in all that is unholy, no no no to the slurpy kissing noises!

We need more people like Eddie Jaku in the world

If you ever feel the need to bitch and moan about your bad day/week/month/year (and now you're si fing the friends them along with me), think about this man, Eddie Jaku, and ask yourself "is my life really that bad?".

I can guarantee adter reading The Happiest Man On Earth that it isn't.

Eddie Jaku's story had me crying more than once, and cheering as once again he eacapes the Nazi regime.

If this was fiction, you would tell tiurself that this could never happen like this.

But it did. To thousands, millions of people.

How this amazing, inspiring man could go through the rest of his life not hating the world - well, he was a better man than I could even aspire to be.

A wonderful, poignant memoir. There needs to be more men like him in the world.

Fabulously narrated. This is one that i would recommend to everyone, and I will definitely be listening again

Nope, I just couldn't with this one.

I didn't finish is, so can't tell what the end of the story was like, but the narration of Simon was like William Shatner reading a text book.

One to my next listen

Cute second chance romance that had me laughing out loud at times, groaning with frustration when people didn't communicate, but most of all had me smiling as I listened.

Rachel Tidd is a new narrator to me, and I will be listening to more

I am wondering if there are more books set in this Hallmark-perfect town, as I got the feeling I should have known this town/these people?

Cute, veeeerrry instalove (marriage talk on day 2 or 3 of knowing each other? Eeek!)

Great narrators, kept me engaged during a drive today

3 stars, and it is only 3 because of the talent - they did an amazing job with a lacklustre script.

It took 3 people to write this? Really?

It was completely over produced - did we really need the kissing noises, the noises of someone writing in a notebook? No, we did not.

And what was with the 20+ second musical interludes between each scene? I had to check that my phone hadn't switched to Spotify when the music kept going.

Shane East as Teddy was the standout for me
