Story
On a perfect August morning, Elle Bishop heads out for a swim in the pond below 'The Paper Palace'—her family's holiday home in Cape Cod. As she dives beneath the water she relives the passionate encounter she had the night before, against the side of the house that knows all her darkest secrets, while her husband and mother chatted to their guests inside.... So begins a story that unfolds over 24 hours and 50 years, as Elle's shocking betrayal leads her to a life-changing decision—and an ending you won't be able to stop thinking about.

I loved the story and the character development. I thought it was great.
I want to flag that there is mention of sexual abuse if that's a trigger for you.

FYI, the book contains stories of sexual assault which might be triggering.
I really liked this book. A story told through the voices of strong female characters.
The audiobook is really good, the narrator did some great voice work.

Captivating and dramatic story

This story is a good quick read, great for a weekend away. It captured my attention and I was truly interested to see where the characters landed.
Some of the character voices put on by the narrator made me wince but that might just be me.

Story
Paul Verhoeven's ex-cop dad, John, spent years embroiled in some of the seediest, scariest intrigue and escapades imaginable. What unfolded in Loose Units was a goldmine of true-crime stories, showcasing John's dramatic experience of policing in Sydney in the 1980s and brilliantly twisted sense of humour. But what happened next in John's career was twice as weird. Electric Blue spans the final years of John's stint in the New South Wales police force, when he took up an offer to move into the grimy, analytical world of forensics.

Comedic and engaging story

I really loved this audiobook. Both the story and the narrator are incredibly engaging. I devoured it over a couple of days but I think it would also be a good audiobook if you only had space for 5 minutes here and there.
