Story
Celebrating her 45th birthday at her local pub, popular podcaster Alix Summers crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie, it turns out, is also celebrating her 45th birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins. A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix's children's school. Josie has been listening to Alix's podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. She is, she tells Alix, on the cusp of great changes in her life.

Story
Meet Lana, Judith and Catrin. Best friends since primary school when they swore an oath on a Curly Wurly wrapper that they would always be there for each other, come what may. After the trip of a lifetime, the three girls are closer than ever. But an unexpected turn of events shakes the foundation of their friendship to its core, leaving their future in doubt - there’s simply too much to forgive, let alone forget. An innocent childhood promise they once made now seems impossible to keep.

A weaving yarn about 4 strong but very different women with twists and turns that made me not want to switch off.
Ruth Jones narrates beautifully adding the depth of the various welsh accents.
Loved every minute.

I just loved this story. The layers of themes running through it - grief, loss, love, aboriginal issues, English literary history and geography.
Wonderfully read by 2 outstanding narrators.
I hope to be able to read more from this author soon.
