Loved it, was very hard to put down and was read very well - another great way to enjoy SJM’s magic outside of the books.

Story
It’s a belief that unites the left and right, psychologists and philosophers, writers and historians. It drives the headlines that surround us and the laws that touch our lives. From Machiavelli to Hobbes, Freud to Dawkins, the roots of this belief have sunk deep into Western thought. Human beings, we’re taught, are by nature selfish and governed by self-interest.

Story
I've been in this life for 50 years, been trying to work out its riddle for 42, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last 35. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me.

Nothing to dislike about this book (apart from the fact I didn’t want it to end)...so well written and read by Matthew McConaughey. Some useful tools are provided by Matthew McConaughey on how to negotiate life on your own terms and make it work for you (without sacrificing your soul). Loved it and will likely listen to it multiple times. Highly recommend.
