Wow! A must read!
I loved everything about this book. From the first page I was hooked and couldn't put it down. So well written! This was a perfect dark romance. Narrators were amazing!

A 6 star read, a billion star listen
I loved the book. I loved it because it made me feel so much. The audiobook? Well, it made me feel everything even more intensely. The narrators did the most brilliant job of bringing this story to life. I laughed and realised just how much humour was in this dark love story because of how good the narrators were.
I also bawled. I think the last third of the book, I spent equal parts laughing and crying. So freaking good.
If you are a fan at all of Danielle Lori or of dark love stories, this audiobook is an absolute must. I cannot wait to re-listen!

Incredibly intense & definitely worth the listen.
I really loved this book. I loved the dialogue & the connection between Mila & Ronan. There are some very dark & broody moments & some distressing ones too. However, the novel builds & builds & then builds some more to a beautifully sweet ending. I highly recommend this book. The narrators brought this book to life & their voices fitted perfectly with the characters descriptions. Well done!

I want a mobster!!!
Wow I actually enjoyed this even though FMC was a bit annoying at times. But the MMC holy hot damn I couldn’t get enough of him!!!!

The Russian beast
A very high 4.5!
I read The Sweetest Oblivion a while back and left a short review, it was sweet, he chose the sister instead of the one betrothed to him, some people get shot, it wasn’t too dark, nothing too tragic happen. It was a sweet mafia romance, I enjoyed it, but it didn’t go much beyond that. In the first book, you can see that the next book is going to be about Gianna and Christian. Not gonna lie, at this point, Gianna isn’t exactly on my list of ‘liked characters’ so I decided to give the series a rest. A sort of, we’ll come back to it, when our TRB is lower (haha).
Fast Forward to a week or so ago, when my severely lacking brain figured out that you could get audiobooks heavily discounted, if you also had the KU version in your library. Suddenly this series was in front of me, and well I’m always more adventurous with audiobooks because they require absolutely no brain power.
Boy oh boy was I wrong. This series as a whole is actually a friggin’ work of awesomeness!
When reading stand alones within a series they can become somewhat repetitive, run a bit on a template. Which is fine, you know what and why you are reading. This could not be further from the truth for this series.
The characters are different, the romance is different, the location changes, the structure changes and what is absolutely brilliant about this series is that the writing style changes, completely.
The Maddest Obsession was a work of pure genius and a hearty 5 stars, going into it thinking I don’t even like Gianna as a character, well I was wrong. Love her, love Christian, love their story, love, LOVE, love!
Then Mila, he pure little heart and the Russian Beast - who doesn’t love a good captured daughter story.
The betrayal in this one hit ME hard, I wasn’t expecting it and I was heartbroken for Mila. All is well that ends well, but man was it not an easy ride. Again, great book!
The series should most definitely be read!!

Enjoyed the story, great narration
When Ronan speaks in Russian 🥵😍🥵😍.
Love Rowan, dark, broody, misunderstood, but found Mila beyond painful, spoilt, naive, virtue signalling vegan. Some good character improvement and discoveries over the course of the book. Enjoyed the story, great narration, overall great audiobook. I am enjoying this series

Read it for more enjoyment
Whoever the sound engineer was on this project needs to try again. Every time the male narrator spoke the volume would drop and not in a sexy low, dark and mysterious way. I much preferred reading this than I did listening to it.
