Just as fabulous as I hoped it would be. A great re-telling of The Odyssey. Stephen Fry brings the Greek heroes and interfering gods to life. Well worth a listen.

Good story, but ended a bit too abruptly for me. Loved Gillian Anderson's narration.

I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment of memoirs having read the first two. Took me to the end of 1993. Hope there's more!

I read this book many years ago and loved it, so I thought I'd give it a listen. I really enjoyed it being read by Mitch Albom himself. He has a lovely voice! I liked the interview with him at the end too - an unexpected bonus!

Wonderful re-telling of the stories of the Trojan War...I'll be listening to the others by Stephen Fry in this series for sure.

I thought I'd listen to Watership Down after reading it twice myself. It's one of my favourites. Peter Capaldi does a brilliant job of breathing life and personality into every single rabbit; he maintains those accents with such skill. I'm full of admiration. The narrative made my journeys to and from work enjoyable, but I'm glad I was at home to hear the end, which always makes me cry.

I absolutely love Billy Connolly, and listening to him read his autobiography is so much better than reading it myself. Wonderful man.

I could listen all day to Stephen Fry's beautiful voice reading just about anything, but this book about poetry is particularly special. I shall listen to it again I'm sure.

I've always wanted to read/listen to this after being mesmorised as a child by the film version, starring Bernard Cribbins. This is very different from that, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I like its mix of serious/not serious/supernatural/scientific/moral/social protest/satire, and the underlying humour.

I'd read Chocky, another of Wyndham's novels, twice before listening to this (after being utterly absorbed by the kids TV series as a child) and loved it. The Chrysalids doesn't disappoint either. It's hard to believe it was originally published in 1955! It has a timeless quality to it.

It's a captivating story, with universal themes, such as the controlling nature of religion, and a wonderful speculation of the futurist capabilities of man.

Well worth a listen/read...Then if you've not already read Chocky, pop it on your list!
