Story
If Danny Cartwright had proposed to Beth Wilson the day before, or the day after, he would not have been arrested and charged with the murder of his best friend. And when the four prosecution witnesses are a barrister, a popular actor, an aristocrat and the youngest partner in an established firm's history, who is going to believe his side of the story. Danny is sentenced to twenty-two years and is sent to Belmarsh prison, the highest security jail in the land, from where no inmate has ever escaped.

A wonderful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat

This book is fantastic! I love Jeffrey Archer, but this is in the top 3 of my favourite books by him. A wonderful story with twists and turns that will keep you gripped until the very last page. I had this as an audio book and listened to it on my 2 hour journey to work. This was the only time I wished my journey was longer! The narration is wonderful! The only bad part was the emptiness I felt when it was over! I would highly recommend this book! I can’t praise it enough!
