Stunning story, weird narration in places

Night Watch is one of my favourite novels and I'm not sure Culshaw does it justice. Madam's voice is grating and weird and he switches pronunciation of Winder halfway through.

The narration is brilliant, such an array of different voices and a wonderful thought on how children don't need to be what their parents want to turn them into.

It would be nice if the truth really did start kicking.

I had forgotten, in my wonderful memories of the tents and the circus itself, about the horribly sappy love story that comes all of a sudden into a perfectly charming escape.

The audio editing is appalling. Chapters run into each other and then ends of sentences and paragraphs are too long. It's very random.

One of the less funny Discworld novels, but it thinks so deeply about so many things.

It took me a while to get into the narration, but eventually the sheer brilliance of the story overwhelmed the not-amazing narrator.

Much as I loved the thick Morporkian accents, I couldn't get over the weirdly high Ridcully. The story is not one of Pratchett's best, though it is perfectly good and has it's moments.

I can't be too effusive about Indira Varma and her narration. I love her performance so much of this excellent book.

I have loved Maskerade since my first reading and Indira Varma performs it superbly, with the extra actor for Death adding a special something. Her grasp of the character voices is glorious.

This is much better than the Stephen Briggs version, Indira does the different voices so perfectly. I loved it.

Highly enjoyable and well read by Derek Jacobi. Sound was very occasionally dodgy and dropped out or 'blipped'.
