Like the topic. Dislike narrator lacks flavour sounds like unseasoned undercooked chicken.
Would not recommend sorry, not sorry.

Went against my better judgment upon reading reviews so if you’re reading this do not make the same mistake.

Enjoyed the flavour in the narrators voice. Appreciated it even more the second time round. Felt held throughout the journey, actually read along with digital print version.

As a yoga teacher student this was a delight to listen to. Enjoyed Richard’s voice as well as the content of the book. Have listened to twice and intend on listening more.

Sincerely, discovering Sedaris has added the flavour I was missing in the ingredients of my life. As an aspiring writer, I find the way he expresses himself through words genius, I am hugely grateful for his work. If ever you read this thank you David.

Measured with a tinge of inspiration. Enjoyed Afua's depiction of Ghana, Senegal, and the incident her and her partner encounter whilst there. Overall I feel she ran out of things to say or write, none the less this book did not have the sentimentality books of this genre tend to have. The book has a an air of middle-class comfort as oppose to the usual beautification of suffering narrations we hear about working class folks.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stories, laughed aloud on occasion. Was inspired to take my own writing seriously. Has been a joy going on a journey with David.

Read well, listened whilst simultaneously reading. Beautiful ending with beautiful, feel a slight tinge of sadness as the book having ended. An instant recommendation.
