The story kept my interest right the way through to the end and I was keen to continue listening to see what was going to happen to Lexie. The characters came to life for me within the book, which is always a positive. It was also very well narrated.

I loved the change in time difference which was well managed, though you did need to concentrate to remember if it was five years ago or the present!
It was well read and kept me interested right the way through, keen to know what was going to happen. I would thoroughly recommend this book if you can cope with the switch in time difference.

A new volunteer at the hospice suggests that Queenie should write again; only this time she must tell Harold everything. . A very moving and thought-provoking story well read and well put together to connect with the Harold Fry novel.

Having listened to the Harold Fry book by Joyce, I found this fascinating to find out the life of Queenie Hennessy. Having lost my mum to cancer two years ago, it was an emotional ride at times listening to Queenies last few weeks of life. However there is so much humour within it. You do not come away feeling depressed, honest!

I loved the continuity of the characters within the story and the way it was read. Some of the annoying things that the characters did in their lives was frustrating but actually very true so this isn't a criticism.
I would thoroughly recommend this book as I couldn't wait to listen to it. I'm finished it in record time.

Story
Harry and Freya, an ordinary couple, dreamed for years of finding something priceless buried amongst the tat in a car boot sale. It was a dream they knew in their hearts would never come true—until the day it did. They buy the drab portrait for a few pounds, for its beautiful frame, planning to cut the painting out. Then studying it back at home there seems to be another picture beneath, of a stunning landscape. Could it be a long-lost masterpiece from 1770? If genuine, it could be worth millions.

A lot of care is taken in the detail of the storylines and continuity from book book. I have noticed a couple of discrepancies, but nothing to ruin my enjoyment of them.
I love the detail of the characters, lives and all of the intricate storylines .

Story
An ugly duckling as a child, Jodie Bentley had two dreams in life - to be beautiful and rich. She's achieved the first, with a little help from a plastic surgeon, and now she's working hard on the second. Her philosophy on money is simple: you can either earn it or marry it. Marrying is easy; it's getting rid of the husband afterwards that's harder. That takes real skill. But hey, practice makes perfect....

I have listened to all of this series to date and have love them all. This one is particularly good as it brings a number of threads together with a conclusion to them. However, there are plenty more threads that I’m keen to find out what happened by listening to book 13.
The narration is excellent,, and I like the mixture of humour, terror, and the story of daily complicated lives.
I’ve got to know some of the characters so well it’s lovely finding out what happens next.
Would thoroughly recommend.

I am loving this series and the different strands of the story that runs through all of the books. I am even getting fond of Grace’s goldfish, Marlon, and will be sad when he departs!
I love the poetic Justice at the end of this book, even though it was a bit violent. I couldn’t help, but be please for the fate of some of the baddies..
My only question would be what Sandy gets up to in this book, as I’m not sure she would’ve done this.
