Story
Elise Grayson has it all. Money, looks, a comfortable home in an upscale Boston neighborhood, and the social status her family has long enjoyed. She has everything she's ever wanted. Almost. Elise's private life is her one failure. Jan Chase needs a new job and new surroundings—a place where no one will ask questions or judge her ability. Driving a limousine for Boston's privileged elite seems like the perfect answer. Being a chauffeur is something Jan is tailor-made for. At least until she meets Elise Grayson.

Rushed at the end.....
Reviewed: 15-01-25
Rushed at the end spoilt a nice story ! This happens so often that it should be known as the '4th act unsatisfactory ending'!
The narrator is prolific so the characters 'were like old friends' , AC narrates well but always the same characters. This is an audio from the Plus catalogue so worth a free listen but not a credit.

A Free Plus Catalogue audiobook so worth a listen ! The story is funny in parts and the characters are mostly likeable. I find the narrator a bit hit and miss, she narrates the story well but her character voices range from good to cringe worthy !
I would have to use a credit for book two in the series and may after I take a rest from the narrator ?

Story
Lina Ragelis prides herself on her bravery and strength, two traits that have served her well in her career in the US Army. Having been disconnected from her family since she turned eighteen, Lina has learned to rely solely on herself—and her slightly overbearing best friend—and she swears she prefers it that way. It's an easy lie for someone who has spent her entire life dodging love. Lina's pretty certain that she's damaged goods. But the truth is, she's the kind of person everyone wants in their corner, and the kind of woman many women want to love.

Good story and it's free, from the plus catalogue ! The story at times is quite difficult to listen to, the trauma and loss that is described is sad ! PTSD is a thing and this audiobook delves into it's murky depths. The narration is good and as with all good narration lifts the audiobook !

Definitely worth a credit ! I enjoyed this spooky story, it was a little different which was refreshing. The narrator did a really good job, maybe Gwen's voice sounded a 'bit young' for a 60 year old at times ?

Predictable storyline dragged down by poor narration. LP does some things well but a range of appropriate voices isn't one of them ,some just don't match up to the characters!

This is a real suspension of belief story so what's not to like !

Story
Since A-List actress and Hollywood's sweetheart Wren Acker came out, not only is she at the top of the acting world; she's also crush number one for her queer fanbase. Loving life, loving her job, loving her cat-everything is fantastic. Except that lack of any kind of private life. When a car accident brings her to the ER, the bottom falls out of her world when she realizes that reserved Doctor Taylor, her physician, is Madison Taylor from camp way back when she was a kid. And boy, does Madison still hold a well-earned grudge for how that all ended.

Story
Public Relations expert Emery Bates has exactly one problem she's willing to admit, and it's that she doesn't have a girlfriend to take as her date to a wedding. Not because she needs a girlfriend, but because she needs an easier way to come out to college friends she hasn't seen in five years. Her job is about controlling the narrative, and as she sees it, there's no reason why that can't extend to her personal life. When her ends up single a few weeks before the wedding, Emery realizes inviting Jordan along and faking romance for a week in Hawaii could be perfect for both of them.

Not very good but free from The Plus catalogue. I agree re the use of the word 'spastic', it was unnecessary and inappropriate. I'm not sure why the author thought it was okay ? LP does her usual job, I wish she could 'do' at least one more MC voice though !

Okay from The Plus Catalogue , worth a listen before you 'have to buy' when it gets removed. A very Jae with a nod to a couple of her other characters from different books (I like it when an author does this). AC does her usual narration which means the characters sound like those from other audiobooks, but a good job anyway!
