Not bad. Had half an idea what the outcome was but it did keep me wondering almost till the end. A slow burner but interesting.
I'm glad I got it. I enjoyed it. I will try more books by this author.

It's alright.
Reviewed: 23-02-23
It's okay as an idea, but hardly mind-blowing in its execution.
As other reviews have mentioned, there are mistakes in the text as it was read. While not hugely problematic, they do distract you from the story.
The ending is not great either. I'd say it should have ended two or three chapters earlier.
I think this was free, I certainly hope I didn't use a credit on it. I think this could have been far better.
Joanne Froggatts' reading was okay, but I'm not sure that the book needed two narrators.

Story
Agent Isaac Steele has problems. He spends all his splibs on drink and drugs. He has some deep-seated and very much unresolved issues with his parents. And his robotic partner at Greatest Britain’s Department of Clarification, Dr Timothy Stephens, is ruled more by his heart than his hard drive. But all these issues take a back seat when Isaac stumbles upon a case involving the most sensitive information in the cosmos - a Never File, inaccessible to all except those with the highest clearance. He is expressly forbidden to involve himself. So naturally he does.

I'd recommend this, got it on a whim, started to regret it but after the first few chapters really got into it.
The narrator needs to work on those accents, really being to grate at certain points in the story.
Yeah interesting story. I'm still somewhat shocked that I did enjoy it so much.

I mainly enjoyed this, though to my taste nowhere as good as The Gunslinger novels or Bag of Bones.
I read another review that said it died a bit in the middle, I'd agree , it's a bit over long but that doesn't alter the fact it's a good story.
The narration is fairly good too

Just so you know, I like sci-fi and fantasy literature.
I found this to be thoroughly enjoyable, I couldn't get enough of it and finished it in very short order. Its almost a comic book, certainly light but not to be dismissed, I will certainly read more in this series.
The story? Original ? Dunno but the story was appealing and well written.
I'd recommend it.
