Story
August in Edinburgh, and thousands of performers of all stripes have flocked to the Fringe Festival. Among them is Charles Paris filling in at the last minute after a student actress breaks a leg and has to drop out. Showcasing an earnest one-man show in a sea of stand-up comics is a bit of a gamble, but at least he's acting, and with a Charles Paris production, what could possibly go wrong?

I’m so pleased that Jeremy Front is writing these stories based on Simon Brett’s books. So much talent between them and, as Front has said before, Bill Nye , Suzanna Burden and Jon Glover have a really good relationship and it works. Thank you

An irresistible collection of sparkling stories featuring John Mortimer's beloved comic creation: Horace Rumpole is the most erudite, astute, and seldom defeated of barristers in the annals of the Old Bailey. In these 32 dramas, arranged in order of broadcast, four distinguished actors don the wig and white band to portray our hero as he recalls his long, eventful career.

I listen to this nearly every evening. So funny full of truths in these anecdotes I have a bet with myself that Mortimer was not fond of judges himself!

Story
Sinclair McKay’s book is the first history for the general listener of life at Bletchley Park, and an amazing compendium of memories from people now in their 80s - of skating on the frozen lake in the grounds, of a youthful Roy Jenkins, useless at code breaking, of the hijinks at nearby accommodation hostels - and of the implacable secrecy that meant girlfriend and boyfriend working in adjacent huts knew nothing about each other’s work.

This account is so moving, and whilst entertaining with its stories of cultural life, manages to convey the brilliance, dedication of those who had to remain silent about what they did until long after the war. Read extremely well

Mark Meadows does not try to speak with an Italian accent and the story is all the better for it because he gets into the characters well such as Caterella : thus strengthening Camilleri’s books and I’ve listened to all of them. I so appreciate Mark Meadows- thank you
