Story
David Mitchell’s 2014 best seller Thinking About It Only Makes It Worse must really have made people think - because everything’s got worse. We’ve gone from UKIP surge to Brexit shambles, from horsemeat in lasagne to Donald Trump in the White House, from Woolworths going under to all the other shops going under. It’s probably socially irresponsible even to try to cheer up.

Exquisitely funny and apposite commentary on modern life!

Combined with the dry delivery, I can't recommend this audio book highly enough! It made us both giggle, Mitchell's brilliantly observant take on topics such as identity theft, Brexit and scampi kept us enthralled.

Story
Known as the ‘four horsemen’ of New Atheism, these four big thinkers of the 21st century met only once. Their electrifying examination of ideas on this remarkable occasion was intense and wide-ranging. Everything that was said as they agreed and disagreed with one another, interrogated ideas and exchanged insights - about religion and atheism, science and sense - speaks with urgency to our present age.

Excellent, pithy commentary from the Horsemen

I listen to this frequently mainly for Hitchens, who I could listen to forever. This is an eloquent exposition of atheism and why anyone should reexamine their faith and its impact on wider humanity.
