Story
A gripping psychological thriller that tracks Hannah Herbst, a facial expression expert, as she becomes entangled in a disturbing web of murder, deception, and moral ambiguity. This nail-biter begins when Hannah wakes up in a motel room with no memory of how she got there, only to discover that she's being accused of murdering her own family. Not only that: there’s a video of her confessing to these murders. As she uses her professional expertise to prove her innocence, she uncovers a sinister plot involving someone very close to her.

Absolutely loved all the other Audible versions of Fitzeks books but this one is, to be blunt, is dire. Lauren Fortgang has been good in other performances but this is not her finest moment. Compared to the versions that have numerous performers, or the versions with Robert Glenister, this one just does not rate very highly. Sorry for the negativity but, if you want to see how good(and unsettling) Fitzek can be, check out “The Child”(an Audible Drama), Therapy, or Passenger 23
