Story
Welcome to the life of a junior doctor: 97-hour weeks, life-and-death decisions, a constant tsunami of bodily fluids and the hospital parking meter earns more than you. Scribbled in secret after endless days, sleepless nights and missed weekends, Adam Kay's This Is Going to Hurt provides a no-holds-barred account of his time on the NHS front line. Hilarious, horrifying and heartbreaking, this diary is everything you wanted to know - and more than a few things you didn't - about life on and off the hospital ward.

As many before have said it’s a great book and every person that uses our amazing , almost at breaking point NHS should read this . It’s a shame that things for all staff and patients hasn’t changed just a sticking plaster added .

I absolutely loved this book . I really enjoyed going with the author on her journey around Scotland in her vw camper with her cat . The author was also the narrator which made the words , stories and feelings so much more real and enjoyable . This is my favourite go to book to make me smile and left my spirits . My only question is when are you going to write another book.
