Uninspiring and droned on in predictable fashion. Disappointed as the author is normally fairly accomplished, but thus I could not recommend in her collection.

One of the very best books I have read in decades- loved it.
Listened to this twice. Not an easy 'read' but sensitive, intuitive and very focussed an the human story of such terror and displacement.
Should kindle kindness and compassion for the displaced wherever they are.

Matt Haig touches on the doubts and insecurities we all have at times which lead to the dreadful 'if only' thoughts. Nicely written, sensitive - enjoyed this novel.

Takes a while to heat up but enough sub-text to keep interest. Good little book for a lazy listen.

Mesmerised by this. Unusual novel, historically and psychologically interesting. Deserved of praise. Recommended to many - from a 16 year old to an octogenarian .
