Great conversations with a host of well respected, highly experienced and articulate guests. It can get geeky but always swings back to a bigger picture, practical view of issues and implications, while maintaining a general belief AI can be a major force for good.

Story
Nearly everyone is familiar with holograms - three-dimensional images projected into space with the aid of a laser. Two of the world's most eminent thinkers believe that the universe itself may be a giant hologram, quite literally a kind of image or construct created, at least in part, by the human mind. University of London physicist David Bohm, one of the world's most respected quantum physicists, and Stanford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, an architect of our modern understanding of the brain, have developed a remarkable new way of looking at the universe.

A wonderful exploration of the multiple realms that can be better understood from a holographic perspective. Lots of well documented research, interesting connections and anecdotes. A bunch of ideas i still don't quite accept, but i didnt buy it to maintain my present understanding and welcome the challenge. I'll be listening to it all again in the near future.

Loved this book. Enjoyable and educational not only in its presentation of the octalysis model - one that's extremely useful in developing gamified features on and off screen - but also as it's beautifully written. A mix of meaty lessons and personal anecdotes that really drive home key learning points. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to up their game.

I stopped around chapter 5. The narrator's voice is clear but robotic and passionless. Thus far the content provides nothing new at all. I felt I was wasting time listening to a minute more . The dates across previous reviews also appear suspiciously alike.

Our ancestors crossed deserts, mountains, and oceans without even a whisper of what anyone today might consider modern technology. Those feats of endurance now seem impossible in an age where we take comfort for granted. But what if we could regain some of our lost evolutionary strength by simulating the environmental conditions of our forbears? Investigative journalist and anthropologist Scott Carney takes up the challenge to find out: Can we hack our bodies and use the environment to stimulate our inner biology?

Story
SAS Ghost Patrol is the explosive true story of the day in 1942 when the SAS donned Nazi uniforms to perpetrate the most audacious and daring mission of the war. Beyond top secret, deniable in the extreme (and of course enjoying Churchill's enthusiastic blessing), this is one of the most remarkable stories of wartime lawlessness, eccentricity and raw courage in the face of impossible odds - a thoroughly British undertaking.

A remarkable story of courage
Reviewed: 10-03-18
Extremely well written and brilliantly narrated, this story carries us from the very beginnings of what became an enormously ambitious, multi unit mission. The characters are described in a way you feel you know them and the twists and Turns of the events, kept secret for decades, unfold at an increasingly intense pace to the end. This is a fitting tribute to the remarkable valour of the men who were willing to give all to rid the world of Nazi tyranny.
