In October 2006, the night before he was to turn 40, Rich experienced a chilling glimpse of his future. Nearly 50 pounds overweight and unable to climb the stairs without stopping, he saw where his sedentary lifestyle was taking him. Most of us look the other way when granted such a moment of clarity, but not Rich.

Inspiring story
Reviewed: 25-03-21
I loved the inspiring story of Rich Roll's life, the tips at the end for the good nutrition to fuel your body with.
The only thing I have to honestly say is just I would like to hear a little more emotion in Rich Roll's voice while telling the story. I guess that's how he speaks and that's fine, but perhaps changing a voice, making it loader when shouting would make it more exciting to listen for me. But who am I to judge something I never done myself though?!
After all Rich Roll is professional athlete and not professional narrator.
I still love the content of the book anyway!!!!

Not as motivational as I expected
Reviewed: 17-03-21
I expected to feel very "wowed" and inspired, but I didn't.
I do like to listen to the people's stories no matter who they are, however I kind of thought that there will be more motivation and inspiration going on. I guess all this lock down kind of ruined the whole mission of this podcast.
Bonus episode is the one I probably liked the most, where people share the change in their motivation and confidence.
I also picked up some tips to motivate myself, which was nice.

Absolutely loved it! John Joseph is the man who's been there and experienced it all and I am really grateful that he spent 2 and half years creating this book and that this book crossed my path. I know I will definitely be coming back to this back for ass kicking and motivation since I don't have anyone around me so PMA focused!!!
John's story is definitely inspirational and motivational and my next book will be his first book.
John's narration gives just that little extra what you need to get the points across.
Everyone will benefit from The PMA effect!!!!!
Thank you John 🙏

it will be eye-opening for people who never stepped into the life of minimalistic thinking at least. I wish whole world would live like this.

The book was very well narrated.
I have to be honest, I wasn't completely hooked on all storries from the start till the end, but everyone should definitely get the message from the advices and inspiring (sometimes terrifying) storries experienced by the people, who have learnt to Thrive, live and appreciate their lives anyway. How they did it? you will find out in the book.
I am big promoter of mindfulness, but I know that sometimes we can get lost in our worries or hurtful experiences.
Very enjoyable book!
