I read a lot of mixed reviews about this book but decided to give it a try. It's not quite Harlan Coben but I don't think it's meant to be. It's a cosy Sunday afternoon, easy listening, simple story to follow and a nice array of characters. Some of the plot points were a bit predictable and some not very realistic but I appreciated the story for what is it.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Christy Wright shares good insights into business and the unique obstacles faced by women when it comes to running their own business. As she is American the chapter on taxes etc wasn’t really applicable to me being from the UK so I did skip through that bit but the rest of the book was full of useful info. After each sitting I’d feel fired up and motivated to go work on my small business.

I love listening to Bryant Gordon on her podcasts but there is something about her narration of this book that’s giving me a headache. It’s as though she’s reading g at full speed and trying to make the whole thing sound more exciting. It’s a shame because the actual content of the book is good I just think I’d prefer to read it myself as I simply cannot listen to this anymore.
