Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is that story at last.

A love and hate letter rolled into one
Reviewed: 01-02-23
This book reads as a love letter to Meghan and the queen, a hate letter to the press, and a reality check to some royals and the general public. Harry was surprisingly aware of “real life” and cognisant of the world at large considering his royal upbringing. He mostly seems humble, with a hint of being out of touch as expected. I truly wish him and Meghan the peace they crave after reading this.

I struggled slightly to keep track of all the different people, maybe I was tired when I listened but didn't keep track of everyone as I usually do with K L Slater's books

I always really enjoy her books, just when you think you’ve worked out how the story will end another hint throws you in a different direction… repeat about 20 times and the ending is never what you expect!
I loved this book being set in Bristol as well!

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

What a story! The main character is a wonderful, relatable, paralegal trying to cope with life at 40.
When her whole life gets turned upside down. She can SEE ghosts?! Or has she lost her mind.
Her friends and family are wonderful humans and by the end of the book you’ll want to be friends with them all, and maybe adopt a dog or two.

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

This books has so many twists and turns, be prepared for whiplash! There’s so many different little stories that are intertwined within the larger story of the book itself.
So much suspense around what initially seems like the storyline, pulling you in, and then a new story appears out of thin air - mysterious, dark air.
I couldn’t stop listening to this book, a real great story.

Story
In the summer of 1944, Eva Mozes Kor and her family arrived at Auschwitz. Within 30 minutes, they were separated. Her parents and two older sisters were taken to the gas chambers while Eva and her twin, Miriam, were herded into the care of the man who became known as the Angel of Death: Dr Josef Mengele. They were 10 years old. While twins at Auschwitz were granted the 'privileges' of keeping their own clothes and hair, they were also subjected to Mengele's sadistic medical experiments.

After learning so much about Eva and her story during my visit to Auschwitz, I really wanted to read her books. A beautifully written story, where to no surprise you fall in love with the person. A tenacious girl, to a vivacious woman. A great read, about a harrowing (yet wonderful) life.
