This is a great story, which is just as interesting for a seven-year-old to listen to as it is for their grandmother!!

This was the first time, I think, I listened to the full story, and it was so enjoyable to listen to, because of the excellent narration

This audiobook was accompanied by a PDF, with the full text of the book, which was so helpful. I can honestly say, that you won’t be short of ideas of what you can do in retirement, if you listen to or read this book.

Another great story, though parts of this, towards the end were a little slower than previous stories

I know it’s supposed to be a children’s book, but I am listening to this as an adult and totally loving it, it brings life in Roman times alive!

These three stories were all very well told though my favourite was the one about the eruption at Vesuvius. Was fascinated to see how the author had kept true to Pliny’s description of events and brought the story to life.

Really enjoying this entire series. This is my fourth book, and I find a storytelling compelling, and the narration is spot-on. I think it’s supposedly for children, but I am loving it!

Often, when the author narrates their own book, it can be disappointing. Not so in this case, Chris really brought the story alive with his vivid words and narration. At times, I really could picture the scenes he so vividly describes. my only hope is that, somehow, some of what he has learnt and shared might actually be taken on board by those who run our prisons.

Having listened to several of Sophia Holloways books, this story was compelling to listen to and the characters were brought alive by Matt Addis’s narration.

This was my second audiobook by Sophia Holloway, narrated by Matt Addis. I have really enjoyed these regency stories. Matt Addis brings the characters alive with his narration.
