On this day of ill omen, plague makes its entrance. Within weeks, swathes of England will be darkened by death's shadow. While panic and suspicion flood the land, a small band of travelers comes together to outrun the breakdown in law and order. A thoroughly great listen

I didn't expect this to be as good as it was. It's a good book but what really makes this recording top notch is David Thorpe's narration, which is first rate. Really gives you a feeling of being in the narrative, a born storyteller and I could have wished this twice as long...

Story
We all have to face our demons at some point. Psychic Surveys - specialists in domestic spiritual clearance - have never been busier. Two cases prove trying: 44 Gilmore Street, home to a particularly violent spirit, and the reincarnation case of Elisha Grey. The ghost of Gilmore Street inflames public imagination, but as Ruby and the team fail repeatedly to evict the entity, faith in them wavers. It seems some demons just won't let go....

Terrible, terrible narration

These stories are really very good but the Audible version can't be recommended. The reading is so appallingly bad you'll want to scream. this woman reads as if she was telling a story to kindergarten children and the voices she puts on are horrible. Stick to the written version...
