Story
In this classic TV soundtrack, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie explore a seemingly inexhaustible list of subjects with a delicious turn of phrase and elaborate wordplay. The hilarity includes regular acts such as not so super spy Tony Mercheson and his boss Control, yuppies, John and Peter and the critics. With four brilliant series of great satire, comic genius and hilarious use of language, the show cemented Fry & Laurie as a double act and paved the way for their future stardom.

Classic BBC subversive comedy.
Reviewed: 12-09-21
Welcome back to late 80s/early 90s comedy. This is all 4 seasons of the TV series, littered with wordplay & subversive humour. They wouldn't get away with broadcasting a lot of this in the 2020s, but comedy has developed over the decades and this is a product of it's time and was pushing boundaries.

Story
Kenneth Horne, Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Betty Marsden and Ron Moody star in the surviving 13 episodes from the very first series of the classic weekly show, the forerunner to Round the Horne. Between 1958 and 1964, Beyond Our Ken lit up the airwaves. A madcap mix of sketches and songs, it remains as funny today as when it was first broadcast. Full of witty wordplay, larger-than-life characters, comic catchphrases and sublimely silly humour....

Story
In the second novel in the Pop Larkin series, the Larkin family descends upon Brittany in France. Like fish out of water, they find that things don't quite turn out their way: The weather is less than ideal, the food is awful, and the hotel is in a bad state of repair. But things slowly improve as Pop manages to sweet-talk Mlle Dupont, Angela Snow and her sister, Iris; and Charley and Mariette celebrate their first wedding anniversary. A Breath of French Air is a delightful book full of nostalgia, fun, and frivolity.

If, like me, you enjoyed the Darling Buds of May then this a really enjoyable sequel with the further adventures of Pop, Ma and the rest of the Larkin brood.
The most enjoyable part is Philip Franks easy, fluent recital of the story which really draws you in.

The Colour of Magic, the first novel in Terry Pratchett's wildly imaginative Discworld series, takes the listener on a remarkable journey. The magical planet of Discworld is supported by four massive elephants who stand on the back of the Great A'Tuin, a giant turtle swimming slowly through the mysterious interstellar gulf. An eccentric expedition sets out to explore the planet, encountering dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and, of course, 'The Edge' of the planet.

18 episodes of Naval fun, 4 not so much.
Reviewed: 11-03-20
Out of the 22 episodes I only dislike 4, 2 are not episodes but stage performances celebrating certain anniversaries with the BBC & 2 are for the Embassy Lark, which is distinctly weaker than the Navy Lark.
I am sure they will have their fans, but just weren't for me.
great value and a good edition to add with the other Navy Lark releases.
Left hand down a bit
