Story
The four elements are the pillars that uphold the manifest world and anchor spirit to matter. They are associated with a wide range of spiritual entities, from small elementals to divine beings. This book explores the consciousness of the elements, which provides a system of understanding that supports most of the magic of the West and paganism. The use of the elements in a wide range of systems and practices will be examined. Much has been written about the four elements already; this book offers new teachings for newcomers and long-time practitioners alike.

it is hard to describe the profound effect this work has produced. Transformational seems inadequate. I recommend this book to all practitioners of the artes. As someone with a traditional training background this work adds to that which I already have and have begun a programme to incorporate it into my own student lessons. Thank you Ivo.

Story
The Enneagram is one of the most robust and informative tools for investigating some of the deeper layers of the self, yet the full power of it is not always taught. Leading scholar Russ Hudson teaches, “Too often, the Enneagram is viewed as a set of simple personality types that lock us into fixed ideas about ourselves. In reality, it’s a dynamic tool for transformation.” With The Enneagram: Nine Gateways to Presence, Hudson shares an in-depth audio training on how to use this powerful system the way it was originally intended.

As a new comer to the Enneagram I was extremely impressed and absorbed by this audiobook. it prompted both a lot of investigation into the subject whilst I listened and some deep diving into my triggers and outlook. I have always been interested in plumbing the depths of my psyche and undertaken years of esoteric training, to find a lot of what I needed to find here. yes I found out through this book I am a 4!
I cannot recommend this audio book enough.

Story
Mary Magdalene is one of the most influential symbols in the history of Christianity - yet, if you look in the Bible, you'll find only a handful of verses that speak of her. How did she become such a compelling saint in the face of such paltry evidence? In her effort to answer that question, Cynthia Bourgeault examines the Bible, church tradition, art, legend, and newly discovered texts to see what's there.

Pulled along on his own journey too is Malcolm: once a boy with a boat and a mission to save a baby from the flood, now a man with a strong sense of duty and a desire to do what is right.

Story
Rotherweird is a twisted, arcane murder-mystery with shades of Deborah Harkness, Hope Mirrlees and Ben Aaronovitch, Mervyn Peake and Edward Gorey at their disturbing best. The town of Rotherweird stands alone - there are no guidebooks, despite the fascinating and diverse architectural styles cramming the narrow streets, the avant-garde science and offbeat customs. Cast adrift from the rest of England by Elizabeth I, Rotherweird's independence is subject to one disturbing condition: nobody, but nobody, studies the town or its history.

Interesting story

It was the interesting plot and premise which made me keep going. But I would agree the characterisations were a little two dimensional and the prose was to superfluous for me in many places. A satisfying twist at the end was a good pay off, but the writing style did not suit my taste.

I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the university at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

To be honest I have to warn you, unless you are willing to suspend your life wait, I couldn't wait to get my headphones back in. I found myself happy with traffic jams on my commute to work, listening way to late into the night.
Exceptional book, totally absorbing, tremendously narrated. I have already downloaded book two but may give myself a few days before we head back into this world.
Am also crossing my fingers the author releases book three soon I don't think I could wait too long. (Apologies to all those who waited long years, a little selfish I suppose :-) )
So again highly recommended but be aware your family may lose you to the wind...
