Story
Clay Blaisdell is one big mother, but his capers were just small-time until he met George Rackley. George introduced him to a hundred cons and one big idea: kidnapping the child of rich parents. The Gerards are filthy rich, and the last twig on the family tree could be worth millions. There's only one problem: by the time the deal goes down, the brains of the partnership is dead. Or is he? Now Blaze is running into the teeth of a howling storm and the cops are closing in.

I didn’t know what to expect as King played it down a little at the start, but I really enjoyed it. Blaze is a great character and definitely has more to him than he or anyone knows. Great performance too.

Story
Father Damien Karras: 'Where is Regan?' Regan MacNeil: 'In here. With us.' The terror begins unobtrusively. Noises in the attic. In the child's room, an odd smell, the displacement of furniture, an icy chill. At first, easy explanations are offered. Then frightening changes begin to appear in eleven-year-old Regan. Medical tests fail to shed any light on her symptoms, but it is as if a different personality has invaded her body.

Watched the film years ago and thought I’d check out the book as usually the book is better.
Exceeded expectations in every way, much better than the film, fantastic performance and gave me goosebumps a few times. Absolutely recommended.

Story
Castle Rock is a small town where word gets around quickly. That's why Scott Carey wants to confide only in his friend Doctor Bob Ellis about his strange condition: he's losing weight, without getting thinner, and the scales register the same when he is in his clothes or out of them, however heavy they are. Scott also has new neighbours, who have opened a 'fine dining experience' in town, although it's an experience being shunned by the locals; Deidre McComb and her wife, Missy Donaldson, don't exactly fit in with the community's expectations.

I bought this book more to do with the fact that King was narrating it himself than a real interest in the story and to my surprise maybe in my opinion one of my all time favourites. Couldn’t recommend this book more!
