Story
Colin Salmon and Stephen Fry star in this brand new adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes adventure, The Hound of the Baskervilles, reinterpreted as a dark folk horror by best-selling authors George Mann and Cavan Scott. An ancient curse has awoken on Dartmoor, the members of the Baskerville family hunted by a spectral hound of Hell. With Sherlock Holmes busy in London, Doctor John Watson is sent to protect the new lord of the manor as fear and superstition run wild in the ancient countryside.

Superb adaptation and performances
Reviewed: 19-12-21
I enjoyed this adaptation. I've no doubt that the changes and new characters will annoy some, but I found, personally, they were in keeping with the spirit of the original story. I enjoyed the characterisation of Watson in this adaptation perfectly realised by the excellent Fry. Colin Salmon plays an excellent Holmes. I hope Scott and Mann get to adapt some more Holmes stories with Salmon and Fry

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

A fan favourite read by a popular character
Reviewed: 24-08-18
I enjoyed this retelling of the popular story of Talons of Weng Chiang. It was great to hear Christopher Benjamin narrating the story as he bought Henry Gordon Jago to life. The only slight criticism I have is that he seemed to be somewhat rushed in his delivery. Moreover, having heard several volumes of Jago and Lite foot, I couldn't help but wish to be that Trevor Baxter had been co-reading it so the story was retold in the same manner as the Mohagony Murders. Overall, if you're a fan of the fourth Doctor and Jago and Litefoot you should enjoy this.

Story
Jon Culshaw reads this classic novelisation of Doctor Who's special 20th Anniversary TV adventure, featuring the Doctor in each of his first five incarnations. Each one has been removed from his time-stream and - with one unfortunate exception - brought to the Death Zone on Gallifrey. There, they - along with an array of their loyal former companions - encounter numerous deadly obstacles including Daleks, Cybermen, Yeti, the Master and a fiendish set of puzzles. Who is the ultimate enemy they must all unite to defeat?

Stephen Fry readings of Sherlock Holmes. What an excellent idea. The readings are superb and the stories are gripping. if you haven't got this already then I highly recommend this. The only slight negative feedback I can make is the organisation of the volumes. keeping whole stories in one volume should be a must and making it easier to access the chapter headings accessible on mobile devices would make this excellent product even better.

Mud, barbed wire, the smell of death.... The year is 1917 and the TARDIS has materialised on the Western Front during the First World War. Or has it? For very soon the Doctor finds himself pursued by the soldiers of Ancient Rome; and then he and his companions are reliving the American Civil War of 1863. And is this really Earth, or just a mock-up created by the War Lords?
