Story
Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.

GODS!

I enjoyed the story and the performance and all the romance ☺️ it was a good listen! Feel like many characters were underdevelopment unfortunately.
I also thought some of the repetitions were a bit much - „gods“ , poppys „stomach“ , „dimples“ etc
Might get better in the other books?

Story
After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watching reality television, and doing odd jobs, including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie. When her twin sister, Taryn, shows up asking a favour, Jude jumps at the chance to return to the Faerie world, even if it means facing Cardan, whom she loves despite his betrayal.

Some great twists in this finale! Will miss hearing about Jude and Cardan! Feel like this book could've been longer!
