Story
From best-selling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure, in the traditional folktale of "Sleeping Beauty", the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation.

Fantastic

I absolutely loved this book. A great follow on to the amazing Hades and Persephone story in Neon Gods (which is even hotter than this one!).
Whilst Hades had a dark reputation, Eros is actually a bad guy but still has redeeming features.
Great LGBTQ representation, which is a must have given the Greek gods setting. I wasn't familiar with the original Greek story but this series prompted me to do some reading up and I think it's a great modern retelling with some nice references to the original.

Story
Francesca Sabatini came to America to take in the sights, celebrate her high school graduation, and have fun wasting time before college starts in the fall. That's not what happens. Fresh off the plane and barely on American soil more than a handful of minutes, Francesca's face is recognized by TSA scanners to be a match for a child who was kidnapped 12 years ago.

Loved the story. My ears pricked up at the name Nick, which was fun.
Well written, as always. Less spicy than her other stories, but so much love of all kinds in here.

I love Ron "the Bomb", and her safety is the only thing I care about. But life is a tricky bastard, and conning criminals for the better part of 10 years brings its own set of problems. Veronica "the Bombshell" Vaughn has put up with my crap for years. And where has it gotten her? A big fat nowhere. Veronica is done sitting at home, pining over a man she can’t have. She’s tired of being ignored, and she’s coming out swinging. Now there’s another man in town with his eye on her. He’s got secrets, too, and he’s more than willing to share.

Story
Valroy will let nothing block his path to the Unseelie Crown. He is willing to stop at nothing to see both Tir n’Aill and Earth as his dominion, and he'll crush the self-righteous Seelie beneath his bootheels. He had wished for Abigail to stand beside him as his queen, but that went terribly wrong when she chose death over becoming his bride. It was a setback, certainly, but not one he could not overcome. Yet despite being wrenched from the song of life, Abigail returns to Tir n’Aill, only to be hunted by both Seelie and Unseelie alike.

So Gothic
Reviewed: 30-08-22
I loved this story, so very gothic and a great take on Dracula. The little quirks of the characters make them very lovable and there's plenty of hilarious dialogue despite the dark story.
Has an amazing narrator too - the array of accents is really impressive and you immediately know which character is speaking as soon as you hear them.
