Really enjoyed this. Excellent writing and narration. Tense at times and everyone’s a suspect. I kinda guessed the ending but didn’t spoil the enjoyment.

Exactly what I was looking for and definitely my kind of book. I love revenge books and this is one of the best I’ve listened to. The narration by Georgia Maguire is perfection. Can’t wait to explore other titles by this author.

Excellent visit to Cherringham
Reviewed: 12-01-25
A brilliant Christmas episode of Cherringham. This series is excellent. The relationship between ex American detective Jack living on a houseboat in the Cotswolds with his dog Riley and clever divorced businesswoman and mom of two, Sarah is perfect. They are great friends and detective team. All the other characters well developed and beautifully portrayed. Doesn’t get any better than a visit to Cherringham.

What is this?

I’m not quite sure how Barry even got a look in. it doesn’t seem quite believable. It’s not explained sufficiently as to why she had the affair in the first place although I admit I didn’t listen beyond chapter 11. She complains how she wants nothing to do with Barry, yet she keeps calling him? Hopefully the Abbey character with that atrocious voice, doesn’t have too much of a role.

Geoffrey Lushington, Mayor of Marlow, dies suddenly during a Town Council meeting. When traces of aconite – also known as the queen of poisons – are found in his coffee cup, the police realise he was murdered. But who did it? And why? The police bring Judith, Suzie and Becks in to investigate as Civilian Advisors right from the start, so they have free rein to interview suspects and follow the evidence to their heart’s content, which is perfect because Judith has no time for rules and standard procedure.
