Looking back over his life, from schoolboy crushes (on girls and boys) to discovering the power of making people laugh (in the Cambridge Footlights with David Mitchell), and from losing his beloved mother to becoming a husband and father, Robert Webb considers the absurd expectations boys and men have thrust upon them at every stage of life.

In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl's halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That's how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to this audio the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs.

one of the best audio books i have ever lisen too it tells how hard it is to get into the music industry but with passion and dedication (springsteen has in bucket fulls) he does it but is still tormented to this day with perfection depression and ghosts from the past that still haunt him. the book is spoken by springsteen in a slow masterful way that brings you to his home town with his parents and siblings and you can feel how much it all meant to him. a long book but well worth the lisen and for any pop idol out there the best book about the music industry bar none...

The best historical audio book i have listened to
Reviewed: 09-12-16
This is without doubt one of the best historical audio books you can listen to about WW2. The aurthor plotts the rise of hitler so throughly and in such depth that when the final days of the bunker are descibed u can almost feel u are their. The narrator grover gardner did an excellent job considering the length of the narrative and the way william shirer wrote the book through personnal accounts of what happened to bring about hitlers 3rd reich is just brilliant. i cannot recommend this highly enough .The best audio book on history that i have ever listened to...

Doug Stanhope is one of the most critically acclaimed and stridently unrepentant comedians of his generation. What will surprise some is that he owes so much of his dark and sometimes uncomfortably honest sense of humor to his mother, Bonnie.

Fantastic biography Doug says it straight and true
Reviewed: 08-09-16
Dough stanhope is brutally honest through an alcoholic haze of 30 years of drink. He has had a life of not giving a god damm f*** about the usual crap of life just cocktails. But this audio shows his love for family and his mom who although he says is a massive pain in the ass cared for her through her long illness and even used it in his stage act. Im not dead yet routine. its one of the best biographys ive heard. i can not recommend it highly enough

Story
If I'm going to tell the story of a life, my life, then I need to tell it warts and all. If the tale is too saccharine sweet then what can the reader take away from it? What do they learn about you? I've written everything down. The shit, the death, fun, naughtiness, addiction, laughter, laughter, laughter, some tears and lots of love and happiness. That, to me, is a better reflection of a human's life.

What did you like most about Truths, Half Truths and Little White Lies?
Nick frost memoir is a frank and bawdy no holds barred story of how he coped with living with loving parents and the problems they faced. His attitude to drink and drugs and living for most of his early life with F**k All and his struggle to cope with an alcoholic parent. I cannot recommend this audio book Highly enough.
