Story
In his joyful book, Billy explores this philosophy and how it has shaped him, and he shares hilarious new stories from his lifetime on the road. From riding his trike down America's famous Route 66, building an igloo on an iceberg in the Arctic, playing elephant polo (badly) in Nepal and crashing his motorbike (more than once), to eating witchetty grubs in Australia, being serenaded by a penguin in New Zealand, and swapping secrets in a traditional Sweat Lodge ritual in Canada, Rambling Man is a truly global adventure with the greatest possible travel companion.

Extremely long listen with complicated plot and you have to consenstrate on the characters otherwise you will get lost. While I love JKR, especially the Strike series., this one is drawn out, far too much about the "church" and fancy putting poor Robin through all that! Clever plot and ending and there is still hope for romance. Come on you two. Next one?

Took some time to get into this one, establishing the bad guys from the good guys but it picks up and gets better with a good ending. Have read all the Milton books so know the backstory, but I think I prefer it when JM works alone. interesting and topical though. Well done Mark and Jeremy.

Story
The first book in a brand-new series, The Last Kingdom is set in England during the reign of King Alfred. Uhtred is an English boy, born into the aristocracy of ninth-century Northumbria. Orphaned at 10, he is captured and adopted by a Dane and taught the Viking ways. Yet Uhtred's fate is indissolubly bound up with Alfred, King of Wessex, who rules over the only English kingdom to survive the Danish assault. The struggle between the English and the Danes and the strife between christianity and paganism is the background to Uhtred's growing up.

Great production with full cast and MB narrating made an interesting story with twists of course. Strangely out of date as it refers to several of today's hot topics that have changed since it was set in 1996? Funny Dickens doesn't seem old because it is, but great story and effort and a good listen. Like Mark Bellingham.

Story
Few places lie closer to the heart of the nation's heritage than the New Forest. Now, Edward Rutherfurd weaves its history and legends into compelling fiction. From the mysterious killing of King William Rufus, treachery and witchcraft, smuggling and poaching run through this epic tale of well-born ladies, lowly woodsmen, sailors, merchants and Cistercian monks. The feuds, wars, loyalties and passions of generations reach their climax in a crime that shatters the decorous society of Jane Austen's Bath.
