Story
Llew Jones wanted to see the States and write about the experience. Then he met Joe Bosco, a butterfly salesman as charismatic as he is infuriating, and they were soon hurtling across 1980s America together, caught up in an adventure that got way, way out of control. Now Llew is in jail, his friend is gone, and he has to give his side of the story if he’s ever going to get free....

Story
Jack Reacher has no place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. A remote railroad stop on the prairie with the curious name of Mother's Rest seems perfect for an aimless one-day stopover. He expects to find a lonely pioneer tombstone in a sea of nearly-ripe wheat. Instead there is a woman waiting for a missing colleague, a cryptic note about two hundred deaths, and a small town full of silent, watchful people.

Best character ever
Reviewed: 01-12-15
What made the experience of listening to Make Me the most enjoyable?
The narrator is just perfect for the character of Reacher.
The pace just goes and flows.
He is a modern day superman. We need Reacher in this world and I love pretending he is.
What did you like best about this story?
All Lee's stories are believable, which in this case is a bit unnerving.
Reacher represents hope and security and behaves like a lot of us would if only we were strong enough, skilled enough or brave enough.
He is a perfect blend of unleashed righteous judgement and a caring heart.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If time allowed, I would listen in one sitting. As it was, I spent far too long, late into the night listening
Any additional comments?
I can not recommend Lee Child's series of books highly enough!
I am devastated that I have now read them all, and am even Considering listening to them all again (which is unheard of for me).

Story
There's trouble in the deadly wilds of Nebraska . . . and Reacher walks right into it. He falls foul of the Duncans, a local clan that has terrified an entire country into submission. But it's the unsolved case of a missing eight-year-old girl that Reacher can't let go. Reacher - bruised and battered - should have just kept going. But for Reacher, that was impossible.

Simply the best

Where does The Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks at the top (by quite a margin), along with the other Victor books
What other book might you compare The Game to, and why?
The woodcutter. Another super efficient and dangerous character whom one immediately loves (and believes)
What does Daniel Philpott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Unfair question. I have only listened to it. I wouldn't want it read to me by anyone else.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Loads of emotion all the time
Any additional comments?
Tom Wood and his Victor are really the best that I have come across. I would desperately like to find other books which manage the same level.I have tried but so far failed.Thank you Tom but not sure if you have actually done me a disservice, as I am no longer satisfied with what's left

In addition to his folding toothbrush, he now needs to carry photo ID to get around. Yet he is still as close to untraceable as a human being in America can get. So when a member of his old Army unit manages to get a message to him, he knows it has to be deadly serious. The Special Investigators always watched each other’s backs. Now Reacher must put the old unit back together
