Story
In this classic TV soundtrack, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie explore a seemingly inexhaustible list of subjects with a delicious turn of phrase and elaborate wordplay. The hilarity includes regular acts such as not so super spy Tony Mercheson and his boss Control, yuppies, John and Peter and the critics. With four brilliant series of great satire, comic genius and hilarious use of language, the show cemented Fry & Laurie as a double act and paved the way for their future stardom.

In June 2004, 16-year-old Liam Kelly was lured to a location in Liverpool in the early hours of one morning and shot dead. The following year, another Liverpudlian, 22-year-old mother of three Lucy Hargreaves, was shot dead in her own home. Her partner and their two-year-old daughter escaped after the house was set alight by leaping from a first-floor bedroom window.

Awful

Story pretty dull but made so much worse but the reader/author. His voice is a grating, 40 fags a day, London accent. Worse, he reads like a teenager in school, with zero feeling or emphasis

Awful

What disappointed you about Bedlam?
I loved Brookmyre when he started out, Quite Ugly One Morning was refreshingly brilliant. Unfortunately he has got progressively more disappointing, dipping to a new low with this completely boring drivel
What was most disappointing about Christopher Brookmyre’s story?
The characters are people I could not care less about. The humour is non-existent. The twist? I gave up well before it was likely to happen.
What didn’t you like about Angus King’s performance?
I thought the performance was ok but crying out for David Tennant to do it with some panache
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Bedlam?
Most of them.
Any additional comments?
Brookmyre has one last chance with me. Please return to former glories!!
