Story
It was supposed to be a harmless kiss at a lavish debutante ball. A clandestine moment with a handsome stranger. But unlike his namesake, my Romeo isn’t driven by love. He’s fueled by revenge. To him, I’m a chess piece. Leverage. His rival’s betrothed. To me, he is a man deserving of poison. A dark prince I refuse to marry. He thinks I’ll accept my fate. Well, I plan to rewrite it. And in my story, Juliet doesn’t die. But Romeo? He perishes.

Jacob and Stella were outstanding as Romeo and Bella. was going to download 2nd book in series but after reading the reviews re: people having issues with the book stopping before the ending decided not to which is a shame 😕

It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

Story
Emmabelle Penrose has cruised through life never needing a man, a plan that has worked stunningly well until about five minutes ago, when she decided she must have a baby. Devon Whitehall is 6 1717 of premium DNA, financial security, and British royal titles. Best of all, he fears the one thing she dreads the most: getting hitched. Emmabelle figures it’s a no-brainer when Devon offers his services - sperm and involvement in her future child’s life.

Disappointed

Not as good as the other books love Joe Arden but his English accent was poor I would have preferred a proper English actor. Maxine Michell was brilliant as Bell. There were lots of issues I didn't understand how they tried to kill him as a child but he was suppose to marry Louisa and he was the only male heir this didn't make sense. Both Bell and Devon had terrible things done as children and both vowed never to marry because of the trauma they suffered. Love this authors books but this one I won't listen to again. Glad there was a happy ending to this novel.

Soledad Barnes has her life all planned out. She plans everything. She designs everything. She fixes everything. But none of her varied talents can save her when catastrophe strikes, and the life she built with the man who was supposed to be her forever, goes poof in a cloud of betrayal and disillusion. Story
The most important thing I’d ever read was scribbled on the door of a portable restroom, engraved into plastic at a carnival on the outskirts of Boston. Lust lingers, love stays. Lust is impatient, love waits. Lust burns, love warms. Lust destroys, but love? Love kills. Maybe it was always my destiny to fall in love with a monster. When other kids stayed awake at night fearing the pointy-toothed beast hiding in their closet, I longed to see mine.

Dark Romance

This was a different type of story took me a while to get into this book not as enjoyable as book 1 & 2.
Sam is a cruel ruthless and destructive individual unable to show his feelings as the story unfolds you know the reasons why he is the why he is. Ash is quite with flaws and secrets herself lets her mother manipulate her with her mental health instead of receiving the help she needs I felt she needed to stand to her parents more and ask for help from her siblings earlier
L.J.Shen is a master at covering difficult and compassionate topics.
Both narrors did a brilliant job especially jacob who is one of my favorites.

Story
Cruel. Coldblooded. Hades in a Brioni suit. Cillian Fitzpatrick has been dubbed every wicked thing on planet earth. To the media, he is The Villain. To me, he is the man who (reluctantly) saved my life. Now I need him to do me another small solid. Bail me out of the mess my husband got me into. What’s a hundred grand to one of the wealthiest men in America, anyway? Only Cillian doesn’t hand out free favors. The price for the money, it turns out, is my freedom.

This book is my favorite in the series so sad when I got to the end entralled from start to finish L.J.Shen always delivers but this book was supurb.
Cillian and Persi he was so cruel with no filter Persi was quite and vulnerable she had sass not what Cillian was expecting and took no BS from him.
It wasn't till the end of the book that you understand Cillians behavior and why he was the way he was it was quite sad that he suffered with his mental health alone and misunderstood.
Persi and Cillian found their HEA excepting and loving each other the way they were.
Highly recommend this book definitely worth a credit

Meet Blaire. An underachieving college student with zero prospects and a ton of issues (hey, being the less-successful twin of a gorgeous supermodel would totally do that to you). She doesn't do bad boys. Actually, she doesn't do boys, like, at all. Not that she's a lesbian. And not that there's anything wrong with being one. It's just that...well...she kind of needs to focus on graduating from college right now.

Loved Blair and Tys ups and downs there we're many funny moments in this novel was routing for them to the very end.Love L.J Shen Style of written becoming a fan of hers.

I didn't mean to star in a sex tape, okay? It was just one of those unexplainable things. Like Stonehenge, Police Academy 2, and morning glory clouds. It just happened. Now, my ball-busting father is sentencing me to six months of celibacy, sobriety, and morbid boredom under the roof of Boston's nerdiest girl alive, Sailor Brennan. The virginal archer is supposed to babysit my ass while I learn to take my place in Royal Pipelines, my family's oil company. Little does she know, that's not the only pipe I'll be laying....

Jason and Virginia did a brilliant job at narrorating in my opinion it is essential when listening to a audio book. Jason Clark was brilliant as Hunters voice one of my favorite narrors well worth a credit. L.J Shen is a author who is new to me I totally love her style full of wit and humour
