Really enjoyed this. So clever
Reviewed: 07-09-24
This was a great book. No bangs, fights and car chases - just lots of clever conversations, different points of view and time jumps. It was really engaging from start to finish. You’ll need to listen to every word though - it isn’t one you can listen to in the background while you do other things. Best enjoyed somewhere comfortable with a coffee or on a long drive where you can absorb yourself into it.

The Nathan Grant stories are really good entertainment. Globetrotting adventures with an indestructible lead - what more could you want?!
Am I the only one who’s noticed that Nathan NEVER STOPS eating though? In every cafe/restaurant he ever goes into he orders half a dozen things. How he doesn’t get a stitch running around with all that food inside him beats me…..

I’ve loved every word of all three of these books. Great characters, great stories (there are at least half a dozen mini-threads across the books) and the ending is perfect.

I really enjoyed this as I have done all of the others in the series. However I probably won’t buy another of Alex Berenson’s books given his views and opinions on “other matters”. Clearly writing fiction is his forte in all areas of his life

Good, but stop/start narration
Reviewed: 15-04-22
I really enjoyed this book, and the whole Mark Dane series, and I really like Colin Mace as a narrator - but on this one I found the reading pace to be a little bit slow and stop/start. It didn’t spoil the story at all, but I’ve only given the performances 3 stars because of it.
The story itself is the usual loud bangs, car chases and movie style locations and the characters are great though. I’d still recommend it completely to anyone though. Buy it!

I really enjoyed this. Still none of the sequels have been as good as Trigger Point was, but I really like the Gabriel Wolfe series. Far fetched (in a good way) and a lot like a modern-day Bond story. On to the next one….

Firstly, the narrator’s breathy style took some getting used to and the mispronunciation of some really basic words and names is poor for a professional actor. However, this is an excellent, excellent story that I really enjoyed. I’m glad I persevered with it. I’d listen to another of Andrew Raymond’s books in future.
