Fascinating story of an awful crime. Well written but would’ve preferred shorter chapters as 3 hours for one chapter isn’t always easy to do. Felt like I kept playing catch up.

Not the best, a bit pointless and dull with not much story until the end.
A very rushed and frankly ridiculous ending.
As for the vicar…. That was just plain stupid at the end.

Really enjoyed this book, I’m a huge fan of Jodi Taylor’s St Mary’s series, so do enjoy time travel books, this has some great ‘new series’ vibes. Sorry no spoilers from me!
The narrator is awesome, a great range of voices that bring the characters to life…. Now I’m off to hear book 2. Enjoy.

This is a very well written book and the narration s spot on (although I listened at 1.2 speed)
It raises a lot of questions about the society we live in and how we look at crime and criminals. I’m looking forward to reading the accompanying PDF.

Excellent Stories but poor narration
Reviewed: 14-07-24
The stories are some of the best short stories by Agatha Christie, the narrator is very good at all the accents EXCEPT Hercule Poirot…. He sounded more a whispered effeminate Charlie Chan than Poirot, definitely the worst Poirot I’ve ever heard.
If you ignore that, then this could be a good listen.
