Great book - annoying when doing kids voices

This is a great book with a lot of great advice but the author (who is also the narrator) puts on these weird voices when reading the parts where children are speaking. There is no need to put on these weird over the top cartoonish kids voices. completely takes away from a great audiobook.

Great book!

I am not a parent, but I do have a big role in my younger brother's life and I plan to be a parent in the not so distant future. This book was very interesting to listen to, I found Philippa very engaging to listen to. I've seen reviews that say the voice she did when playing the part of a child was annoying, but it never bothered me and I even got a laugh out of it a couple of times. Also if they do bother you it has got to have no more than 10 minutes of it throughout the whole book. I would recommend listening to it, completely changed my perspective on how to raise little ones. It is more focused on the early years of life, probably from birth to 5, but my little brother is 9 and a lot of the advice I still found very helpful.

easy to absorb, massively enlightening.

narrated by the author which always makes for a more honest translation of the ideas and philosophy within. An intelligent perspective of the the behaviours and thought processes we learn from our parents and care givers and most importantly how to change and improve for the sake of your children and your self.
