Interesting
Looking for a new series and this is quite interesting. THe performance is fine but has been speeded up a touch too much. Changing the playback speed to 0.8 is perfect.

Too short
Not a bad book, but too short. I'm struggling to justify the purchase of the second installment for such little content.

Well paced and interesting
Reminds me of some of the animes I used to watch like Dragon Ball, Yuyu Hakusho and the like. Nonetheless the story is interesting and captivating. I particularly liked the pacing of the events even if sometimes they are predictable.

Just as well....
I bought this book because I enjoyed 'The Travellers Gate Trilogy' and I was pleased at finding this to be equally enjoyable, which is a relief, as I've bought all the other books in the series. 馃槵

Good but not Awesome
I really try to like this book. But Travis Baldree's performance as Narrator just sucks in this book :(
I hope it has something to do with how the recording is made - Travis is normally awesome as Narrator. But for this book I needed to set pace to 0.8 to make it not felt rushed.
The book:
The story and magic system is good and for me a new take on it - if it wasn't for the performance I would already be listening to book number 2.

I absolutely love this book series!
I believe this is the best book series I have read so far <3
Both the story and voice acting set my standards so high I struggle finding any others series that interest me enough

An amazing beginning to an amazing series
I’ve seen people say this book is slow but I think it sets a great foundation for a really rewarding series. I couldn’t recommend the series more highly. The main character is likeable and is a great narrator for the series. PLEASE READ THIS SERIES.
