If this is what women are reading/ listening to these days, feminism is screwed. A woman incapable of basically doing anything, until a verz masculine man (who is controlling and jealous) rescues her. If it wasn't for the social media references, this could have been written in the 18th century. But don't worry, everyone gets married and happy at the end.

But, their love story is so annoying. Like they are fifteen years old. Avas character is so overdone and one dimensional in this 'strong woman not showing feelings' mold. I've been listening to all of these books and their love story kept getting more annoying. Just f*ck already. Good twists though!

I enjoyed other books by this author but this is really boring. Dull story, no real mystery or interesting twist. Spoiler alert, but the story goes like this: an older guy who can't keep his willy in his pants and doesn't know how to use contraception has lots of kids with his ex wives. He also has a girlfriend, but she disappears and everyone is happy. End of story.

Boring mix of Harry Potter and Gossip Girl

Don't listen to this book, seriously. I almost couldn't finish it. The crime story is dumb and by the time you get to know who the killer is, you don't even care anymore. Weird side-story with magic and witchcraft, that doesn't have anything to do with the actual crime. Also the person who wrote this must be a Christian fundamentalist or something, because the moral of this book is that if you (as a young woman) have sex with a guy, you will loose your magic powers and friends and you will have to kill the guy in the end. But with a blunt object, because your witchcraft will be gone.
I've heard so many good things about this Autor but I'm fiercely disappointed. This is no doubt the worst book I've listened to on Audible so far. Maybe I'll give Tana French another chance one day, but this story is very bad. At least the writing is rich and beautiful.
