Story
A revolutionary system to get one per cent better every day. People think when you want to change your life, you need to think big. But world-renowned habits expert James Clear has discovered another way. He knows that real change comes from the compound effect of hundreds of small decisions – doing two push-ups a day, waking up five minutes early, or holding a single short phone call. He calls them atomic habits.

I was under the impression that this will be yet another motivation book. But it delivered on all the hype. Enjoyed listening to this book and it gave me some wonderful insights and inspiration. 🙂

Not What I expected

Thought this book to be a spiritual revelation but it turned out to be a lesson in lifestyle, thinking, health and productive yet peaceful ways to approaching work.
Refers Dr Viktor Frankl often, talks about logotherapy, and introduced me to the concept of anti-fragility - some of the things that will stay with me.
Not bad at all but it talked more about super centenarians and longevity than the concept of Ikigai and its search.

Definitely a better source to take relationship advice and insights from as opposed to the sources people gravitate towards. Makes so much sense to look at people and decisions in this light. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Story
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

A Much Needed Lesson
Reviewed: 26-11-21
We need it. All of us. Go ahead and read/listen to it. Some people have lived brave, terrible yet meaningful lives and then left us a note of love. How sadly ungrateful of us to not read and appreciate them.
