Kevin Howell Appointed 15th Chancellor of NC State
Kevin Howell has been appointed the 15th chancellor of North Carolina State University (home of its Centennial Campus), becoming the institution's first Black chancellor. Howell succeeds Chancellor Randy Woodson (recipient of AURP's 2023 Leadership Award). Read more.

Duke University's Scott Selig, Associate Vice President for Capital Assets and Real Estate, to Retire
Duke University's Scott Selig, Associate Vice President for Capital Assets and Real Estate, will retire in August 2025 after nearly 25 years of leadership. Since 2001, Selig has spearheaded Duke's off-campus real estate strategy, playing anchor roles in the creation of the Durham Innovation District and American Tobacco Campus. Read more.

Charles Day Dilks, Past AURP President and Seminal Leader in the Development of Research Parks, Dies at 83
Charles "Charlie" Day Dilks, a founding member and former President (1998-2000) of AURP, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2024, at age 83. Dilks helped establish AURP in 1986 and guided its transformation into today's thriving network through his mentorship and leadership. Read more.
