AI for Developers (Part 3): Training models w/ private data using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)

AI and large language models (LLMs) have a lot of buzz these days. In this talk we’ll share our inaugural journey into leveraging large language models using Node.js and Javascript, and how we were pleasantly surprised that JavaScript is one of the two languages supported in leading AI libraries( for example, Langchain, Ollama, and LLamaindex) and that the strengths of Node.js including its easy integration with C/C++ make it easy to get started. We will cover key topics like accessing models from Node.js applications, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and instrumenting the LLM components of your Node.js applications.
