Cloudy but quiet Sunday after morning wintry mix, fog
MINNEAPOLIS — Aside from some fog in the morning and lingering wintry precipitation north of the Twin Cities, Sunday will be fairly quiet but cloudy.
High temperatures will stay in the 30s through Monday — an improvement after last week's deep freeze.
Fog and flurries are possible for the Twin Cities heading into Monday but most of the snow will impact north of the metro.
Another weather system will bring a snow chance on Tuesday with the highest amounts in southern Minnesota. The metro could get up to half an inch of snow in the afternoon and evening hours.
That system will pick up the wind and drop temps back into the 20s by mid-week. Highs will drop into the teens heading into the weekend.
Thursday looks to be the best chance of a snow pack, unlike recent systems.
There may be another few opportunities for flurries through next week, but things largely look quiet and cold.
