EN 50388-2:2025 provides a new tool for the co-ordination between electric traction power supply systems and rolling stock

CENELEC published a new important standard for the railway community. EN 50388-2:2025 ‘Fixed installations and rolling stock for railway applications - Technical criteria for the coordination between electric traction power supply systems and rolling stock to achieve interoperability - Part 2: Stability and harmonics’ establishes the acceptance criteria, according to EN 50388-1:2022, for the compatibility between traction units and power supply for known phenomena and known technologies. The standard was developed by CLC/TC 9X ‘Electrical and electronic applications for railways’.

RISERS Joins the CORALIS Final Conference: Industrial Symbiosis Needs Standards to Scale

On 19 March 2025, the CORALIS Final Conference took place in Brussels, bringing together about 100 participants from industry, policy, and research. Organized by the CORALIS Consortium and EEIP, the event marked the conclusion of the EU-funded project aimed at demonstrating and scaling Industrial Symbiosis (IS) solutions across Europe. RISERS was glad to take part in the closing roundtable, contributing perspectives on how standardization can help turn Industrial Symbiosis into a mainstream practice.
