Special file - Report "European judicial systems - CEPEJ Evaluation report - 2024 Evaluation cycle (2022 data)
The CEPEJ evaluation report, published on 16 October 2024, contains data and analyses on the functioning of the judicial systems of 44 European states and 2 observer states (Israel and Morocco), making it possible to measure the effectiveness and quality of these systems.
The results are presented in three complementary sections:
INDIVIDUAL COUNTRY PROFILES
The Country profiles present all the main indicators for each country (human and financial resources, salaries of judges and prosecutors, training, parity within the judicial professions, efficiency of the various courts, measurement of the activity of public ministries, indices of deployment and use of ICT) as well as comparisons of these indicators with the CoE median and their evolution since 2012.
The country profiles also contain summary analyses on budget and efficiency, as well as on specific points relating to each judicial system, based on the data and comments provided by the countries.
You can also consult the exhaustive country-by-country answers to the questionnaire as submitted by the national correspondents.
CEPEJ-STAT DATABASE
To extract, cross-reference and compare data, you can use the CEPEJ-STAT dynamic public database, which contains all the data collected since 2010 through the CEPEJ national correspondents, appointed for each member state or observer participating in the evaluation process. It can be used to generate graphs, tables and maps of quantitative and qualitative data by theme, country and/or year.
The data is organised into dashboards, where the data is linked interactively to different graphs and tables, and explorers, where detailed tables for all countries can be extracted. All the data is accompanied by comments, which are available in these dashboards and explorers.
