At the World Forum for Democracy, Tobias Flessenkemper, Head of the Council of Europe’s Youth Department, met with Afia Asantewaa Asare-Kyei, a member of Meta's Oversight Board.

They discussed the importance of internet governance, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence, and how it affects young people online.

The Oversight Board is tasked with addressing some of the most challenging and consequential decisions arising from Facebook and Instagram posts, providing independent judgement on the propriety of disputed content to determine what should remain up and what should be taken down.
