Jessica Bustamante volunteered to help northeast Tennessee in their time of need because of her connection to the community. In 2023, Staff Sgt. Bustamante hiked the Appalachian Trail with her husband, and after receiving kindness from locals during her trail stops in Tennessee, wanted to return that same kindness to support those affected in the aftermath of historic storms and flooding.
