This is another year when Eurofound made significant impacts in both scientific and policy fields, deepening its analysis of what it is like to live and work in Europe, and participating in over 150 events organised by and with various stakeholders.
Thematically, we continued our research on core areas such as industrial relations and social dialogue, quality of life and social services, and working conditions and sustainable work, as well as ongoing challenges around housing, labour shortages, climate change and Europe’s digital transition.
We also intensified efforts to connect with our stakeholders through our webinars, podcast series, digital stories and social media communication – not to mention our highly anticipated annual lecture in Dublin.
2024 was also a year that Eurofound deepened its connection with our local community, our Open Day and Open House are now regular events, with our neighbours and friends showing widespread support for our work and activities. Eurofound’s roots in Ireland have grown deep, and are maintained and strengthened by the hard work of our dedicated staff.
Next year, Eurofound celebrates a landmark occasion; the 50th anniversary of its establishment. Eurofound’s mission is Europe’s mission: putting people first and building a strong social market economy. As we prepare for this momentous occasion, I wish you a peaceful Christmas and restful holidays, and I encourage you to join our celebrations in the New Year as we mark 50 years supporting better policies for a strong social Europe.
