Confirmation hearing of Commissioner-designate Teresa Ribera

The confirmation hearing was led jointly by the ENVI, ECON, and ITRE Committees. The IMCO, EMPL, TRAN, REGI, and AGRI Committees were also invited to this hearing. The hearing lasted three hours from 18:30 to 21:30. As regards the topics in the remit of the ENVI Committee, the Executive Vice-President-designate replied to questions concerning future initiatives such as the Clean Industrial Deal, the Circular Economy Act, the Decarbonisation Accelerator Act, and the Chemical Industry package. She also responded to questions on the implementation of the European Green Deal.
